Fucked Up: The Chemistry Of Common Life

Fucked Up
The Chemistry Of Common Life
Matador Records [2008]

Fire Drills Review:
Fucked Up pushes expectations into directions that you had no idea were possible and on The Chemistry Of Common Life the band accomplishes this again. The Canadian group is very hard to pin into a genre because they walk several different paths depending on the song but I think that using words like aggressive, furious, high energy and experimental can really sum up the parts. It doesn't matter if you are in awe from the guitar workout of six minute opener "Son The Father" or the stand out drum beat in "Black Albino Bones", Fucked Up shine on each track and clearly make it their own which gives The Chemistry Of Common Life a long lifespan in your current playlist!

Key Track: "Twice Born"

Band With Similar Fire: Murder City Devils
