It does not take very long when playing Warren Zevon's 1976 classic self-titled disc to remember the great artist we lost in 2003. This record, considered by many as his best, offers a great sounding remastered 2-CD version that contains the album and then a second disc of 15 previously unreleased bonus cuts. The album speaks for itself but on disc two you find every track in an alternate form and the real winners for the fans would be the handful of solo piano demos that showcase the souls of the songs and Zevon's passion for the music. This release is a must for fans and should be used as education for new listeners.
