Fire Drills Review:
This Lawrence, Kansas band's full-length debut No Tempo is an enjoyable blast of 10 post-punk shoegaze tracks that bring the angular vocal placements of The Walkmen while hitting the listener with feedback and carefully placed noisy guitar like Sonic Youth. This combination completely works for Boo And Boo Too because the band accomplishes a classic alternative sound while sounding fresh. The group is able to hold the same high energy regardless of track length and nothing showcases this more than the 9 minute closer "Alleys In Whitechapel" as you get an assault noise attack up front followed by the mid point atmospheric daze as the song winds down - this is what Boo And Boo Too are all about!
