Fire Drills Review:
This is Andrew Bird's fifth solo record and like Armchair Apocrypha [2007] he has stayed the course of the singer/songwriter crafting an indie pop record that is full of exciting turns and spins. What you know you are going to get with Bird is his intricat arrangements and detail to lyrics which shine though track after track on Noble Beast. The other thing about Bird that never vanishes from his records are the throwback jazzy moments of his Squirrel Nut Zipper days, which I believe add depth to his superb catalog and right here on another solid offering with Noble Beast.
