Fire Drills Review:
Brighton MA actually hails from Chicago IL, but take their name from singer Matthew Kerstein's birthplace. Several of its members used to play in The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir so you might think that Brighton MA debut might be full of lush indie pop but the reality is that the record is full of warm and heartfelt rock n roll tracks. Most of the songs are mid-tempo in pace and use a wide scale of instrumentation but the end result is quality lyrics and quality musicianship making Amateur Lovers a worthy debut to check out.
