I believe Brooklyn should have received the most responsible for quality band releases award in 2008 because The End Of The World is another group that calls it home and has a solid album in French Exit to offer listeners. TEOTW has a Strokes/Walkmen sound to them with a slight folk angle that sets them apart and gives them a different approach. It is this more laid back vibe of The End Of The World which makes French Exit successful because the record never goes over the top and leaves the listener with that feeling of needing to hit repeat!
