Kevin and Anita Robinson are better known as Portland, OR indie darlings Viva Voce. Instead of a new Viva album the duo have decided to launch a new band named Blue Giant which features members from The Decemberists, Swords and The Golden Bears plus this EP has the help of Sleater-Kinney frontwoman Corin Tucker on the track "Gone For Good". The groups sound is a mix of American country and classic rock that contains rich harmonies, superb storytelling and dark undertones. This combination makes for an excellent six track beginning of a band that sets the stage for an excellent and anticipated debut full length!
