You may not know Amanda but she is half of the Brechtian punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls. Her solo debut showcases the many sides of Palmer and goes down some roads she would not follow with the Dolls. The record was produced by Ben Folds, and to no surprise features him with accompaniment but most importantly he helps guide and mix her style with a pop sensibility that reveals her maturity as a songwriter, performer and most importantly as a solo artist.
