Satin Gum: Satin Gum [EP]

Satin Gum
Satin Gum [EP]
Self-Released [2008]

Fire Drill Review:
You have to give Pittsburgh's Satin Gum props for not letting the grass grow under their feet with their new self-released EP because the group just formed this spring. The band shows where determination gets you by writing, recording and releasing the EP on their own in lightning speed and already available at all major digital stores. Satin Gum's influences include many staple alternative acts such as The Replacements, Sonic Youth, and Nirvana, all of which come through on Satin Gum with strong song structures, clear lead vocals and washed out guitars. It will be interesting to see what is next from the relatively new band!

Key Track: "No We Are Not Naming Our Kid After An IKEA Product"
