Fire Drills Review:
On The Broken West's sophomore record Now Or Heaven, the band tweaks with their sound a bit and presents a different side that we have not heard before. Their debut was a more upbeat and hook filled album that had the pop sensibilities of Teenage Fanclub and the song structure of Wilco but here we find most of that style stripped down and more subdued. The end result is that The Broken West are talented song writers so the tracks are solid it is just a different vibe from them that takes a couple listens to get used to but overall will still hold your interest.
