Fire Drills Review:
The Boat People are a well known indie group from Australia and Chandeliers is the groups sophomore follow up to their well received debut Yesyesyesyesyes [2005]. Chandeliers picks up right where the band left off with songs that are just plain good ol' indie pop full of melodies and lyrical charm. Currently The Boat People do not have a label deal in the US or UK so Chandeliers would need to be picked up as an import or on tour if you are lucky enough to catch them on either continent. Based on the strength of Chandeliers I don't see this remaining unreleased much longer and it should be given a chance once a domestic release date is announced!
