Fire Drills Review:
Japanese Motors hail from Costa Mesa, California and are lead by pro surfer Alex Knost, which explains some of the material on the groups self-titled debut. They have a very laid back Strokes like sound which fits their lifestyle and gives the record an overall relaxed cohesion that works in its favor. The Japanese Motors never seem to try too hard on the record which is good and bad because I believe it captures their spirit but given even more effort this group could make a killer album - here is looking forward to the sophomore effort!
